Gonna be a great night of music and gratitude for 50yrs of Public Radio in Huntsville!!!!
Hailing from Huntsville, Michael Goldsmith has spent decades crafting the kind of raw, soulful folk-rock that blends barroom singalongs with back-porch storytelling. Now backed by a powerhouse band of twangy Americana players, his sound has evolved into something that can only be called “Alabama Americana”—energetic, gritty, and steeped in Southern spirit.
His new record , Buzzard's Shadow, will drop on February 12. Recorded, mixed, and mastered in Huntsville, it is a powerful collection of raspy folk-rock songs that feel a little like a dive bar singalong—and a little like you snuck a beer into church.
The Michael Goldsmith Band features: Chris Cook: Rhythm Guitar & Vocals • Hunter Copeland: Electric Guitars • Gus Goldsmith: Drums • Steven Jackson: Bass • Michael Goldsmith: Acoustic Guitar & Vocals
